Recently I have had the pleasure of working with Nathaniel Levingston from I Manage Stars. Last Tuesday we went downtown and shot Miss Morgan Standen (Morgan Nicole) on top of a parking garage with some nice rides. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot. Our theme this week was “Isolation!”.
This week I posted a shot featuring Bob Pero. Being isolated in thought in an urban environment can really play mind tricks with you. I always second guess whats truly in the shadows.

All of these shots were taken with a 5dmkii + 85mm f/1.8. All of my exposures were set at f/2.0, 100iso. The shutter speed varied from area to area, though the overcast lighting helped to keep things pretty consistent. I HIGHLY recommend exploring your own backyard (especially right after it rains).

This week I decided to shoot in my own backyard. Walking around really helped me realize that awesome thing can be found if you look hard enough.

Taken with the brand new Impossible px680 film! In retrospect I should have exposed for the water instead of the sky. However, I like the way the shadows turned purple and the highlights turned yellow. A great contrast of colors. You can see the same spot shot digitally: here.
